I don't understand this at all.. Why destroy a pair of 19's like this ? If your not happy with the bass, why not just start from scratch and build a pair of DIY bass bins ? IMO he will never get what he is asking for them now.. The value is in stock original equipment IMHO.
I would be inclined to do as he suggests and not take his word for it. The 18" is a Fostex L569 which I've heard and remain unimpressed to this day.
A waste of a 19. It does however come with two Advent P.O.S. speakers as an add on for value.
at this point i would think the advents would be worth more than the 19s ,, as long as the pros didn't get ahold of those too
